ORIENTATIN MODULE
The orientation module focused on expanding our drawing skills. We began by sketching individually, then analyzed them in groups to uncover deeper meanings. This process taught us to “read” rather than just “view” drawings, enabling a more objective group sketch.

Started by drawing out our dreams. This included vivid and elaborate images
The module guided us into looking beyond symbolistic and representational ideas and drawings.

The drawings produced forward included and held the essence and emotions of our dreams however they were not limited to the appearances and aesthetics.

To get to the final concept, we first identified the core emotion in our individual sketches, the emotion of fear. We then worked to convey this emotion through our group sketch. After exploring various ideas, we found the concept of a labyrinth to be the most fitting. We studied works by different artists who had explored similar themes, which inspired our composition.

The staircase became our central element in the final sketch, representing a labyrinth. The real challenge came when we translated this sketch into an installation. We kept the staircase as our core element and transformed it into a labyrinth. This process pushed us to think creatively, exploring different types of staircases and reimagining them to fit the concept. Through this, we learned many ways to create and shape the labyrinth.
